Refund Policy
Booking
Booking at Ikhaya Safari Lodge involves a 50% upfront deposit to confirm the booking and settlement of the remainder of the balance two weeks prior to arrival. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the booking.
Check In
Check-in time is from 14:00 onwards. If you arrive earlier, we will happily store your luggage until your room is ready. Guests are required to present a valid ID / Passport and may be requested to present your debit or credit card. We will do our best to accommodate special requests if they are arranged in advance by email.
Check Out
Check-out time is at 11:00. If you require a late check-out, an additional fee will be charged, please contact management in advance. Failure to return room and remote keys, will result in a penalty fee being charged to your account.
Payment
Ikhaya Safari Lodge is a cashless establishment and ONLY accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express as payment methods while at the lodge.
Cancellation
– Cancellations 30 days prior to arrival – 10% administration charge of the reservation.
– Cancellations 14 to 30 days prior to arrival – 25% of total accommodation.
– Cancellations to 14 days prior to arrival – 50% of total accommodation.
– Cancellations within 7 days prior to arrival, or in the event of a no show or an early departure, the full amount of the stay as originally booked and confirmed will be charged.
Noise
To ensure the comfort of all our guests and maintain good relations with our neighbours, loud music, gatherings, or any form of disruptive behaviour is strictly prohibited after 22:00 PM and before 08:00 AM. Guests who fail to comply with this policy may be asked to leave the property without a refund.
Damage and Hygiene
Guests are responsible for any spills, stains, or damage caused to fabrics, carpets, furniture, or public areas, including wine, food, oils, or other substances. Additional cleaning or repair costs resulting from such damage will be charged accordingly. Our staff inspects all rooms and public areas before departure to ensure everything is in proper condition.
Children
Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times, especially around the swimming pool and high decking. Ikhaya Safari Lodge will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur due to lack of supervision.
Safety and CCTV
Each room is equipped with a safe for the storage of valuables, and we strongly encourage guests to use it. For security purposes, common areas of the lodge are monitored by CCTV. The footage is used strictly for security reasons that complies with privacy regulations.
No Pets
We regret that pets are not permitted at the lodge.
Smoking
Smoking is only allowed in outdoor areas. For safety reasons, particularly due to the thatched roof, smoking is not allowed in any of the rooms or indoor spaces. Guests are requested to use the ashtrays provided in designated outdoor areas.
Tip
Tipping is at the discretion of our guests and always appreciated. If you would like to leave a tip, you can give it directly to the staff member or leave it at reception in the tip box, where it will be distributed equally among the team.
No Weapons
Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited on the property.
Admission
Right of admission is reserved. Non-paying guests are not permitted to stay overnight. All non-paying guests must leave the lodge before 20:00 PM. If this occurs, the appropriate room rate will be charged.
Disclaimer of Liability
The property will not be held responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal items during your stay, except where such loss or damage arises from proven negligence on the part of the property or its staff. Guests are reminded that Ikhaya Safari Lodge is situated in a natural environment, where wildlife, including baboons, may occasionally interfere with personal belongings. We kindly request that all valuables be kept secure at all times.
